Auction Catalog July 2026

At our 10 August 2026 regular meeting, NPS individually recognized its members with lanyards and name tags replacing the older clip on and pin on style that has been used for many years. In addition to having "Nashville Philatelic Society" printing on the lanyard, members were recognized for the number of years they have been NPS members. Members are recognized by membership of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25+ years and by a specific color lanyard with the number of years printed thereon. Members in attendance were presented with an appropriate lanyard. There are seven regular meeting attendees who have been members for 25 years or more!

The Nashville Philatelic Society celebrated the 250th birthday of the United States with a program entitled "250 Years of American History Rembered in Stamps" at it's 6 July, 2026, regular meeting. We could not hold a traditional summer cookout or shoot fireworks at our meeting venue, so a cake was the substitute. Happy Birthday, America!

Arriving in-theatre in February 1945, the unit was given the task of distributing 17 million pieces of backlogged, undelivered letters, postcards and packages accumulated over a three year period. The unit's motto was "No Mail, Low Morale." In 2022, the 6888th was awarded the U.S. Congressional Gold Star. You might want to check out this movie!
